Lace and My Golden

Hello Lovelies!

So somehow, I missed the first day of summer was yesterday. Oh well. At least I know it feels like summer. ;-)

I bought this top from Francesca's last September and I absolutely love it! It has a lace panel on the front and back. I paired it with a white camisole and navy shorts for a red, white, and blue look.

Also, my Golden Retriever, Cassie, decided to make an appearance for this blog post. She's the sweetest thing and I love her so much!

Craving Lemonade

Hi all!

The outfit I designed on Polyvore for this week's post has me itching for a tall glass of lemonade, and I think you'll see why.

I'm super in love with the current trend of skater style skirts and dresses. I think the comfy, swirly, casual look is just so fun and has a bit of a retro vibe that sings to my vintage soul. And to me, summer is all about bright, fun colors. It's the best season to wear them, so why not do so at every chance you get? I absolutely adore the bright, bubblegum pink of this skirt.

Another great thing about this outfit is that it can be so simple, but it looks put-together and fresh. Just a cute top and a skirt, and you're ready to go! Of course, you can rock some glittery jewelry and a fierce cat-eye to play it up. The choices are endless!

Hope you all are ready to have an amazing summer!

Love,

Bridget

Coral Sandals and Grungy Shorts

Hey there everybody!!
So..... some exciting news, my baby sister is one week old today!!
If anyone's wondering: Yes, she's super-cute! Also super-chubby, and kind of red, and apparently she's my mini-me, and her name is Lylah.
Okay, I'm done.

Anyway, here's my outfit for today. I wanted to wear my kind-of-grungy shorts, so I grabbed a flowy, loose, striped tank, some cute coral sandals of Brooke's, and finished it off with gold rings and earrings!

(Funny story for this next pic: My mom and I went into her studio to take the pics, and she went, "Hmmm, what should we do for these.... I think that stool may be too tall..." So, as a joke, I did the whole model squat-and-fake-laugh pose, and she went, "Yeah! Stay there..."
So I had to sit like that for like, five minutes stright. But hey, at least my thigh muscles look really good.  :P)

And if you just read this entire post, I'd like to reward you by saying that I have no idea where you can get any of these clothes, so I'm not even going to bother this time....
Also, I think it'd be nice to tell you about a song that I'm currently in love with, which is this cover of Imagine Dragons' Demons done by Anthem Lights. (Hypothetical demons, it's not actually demonic/satanic...) Also, if you haven't seen the original music video, I highly recommend you watch it as well.
A-ma-zing
Well, see y'all in a couple of weeks!

In My Makeup Bag

Hello everyone!
Due to me being busy this weekend and being exhausted after it, I won't be posting an outfit today.

But I will be giving you a look inside my makeup bag!

My older sister, Kayla, bought me this bag for Christmas last year. I was super happy to get it. I had been using about three different bags to hold my makeup before. I was glad to just have one now.

The bag has two sides. I put all my face makeup on one side and my eye makeup on the other.

I have some makeup I don't use on this side, because it isn't the right color or makes my face look unnaturally makeup heavy.
I recently bought the Maybelline Pure BB Cream. It was very light and it didn't make my makeup thick. But it was too pink for my skin tone. That's the trouble I have with BB creams.
The L'Oreal True Match Foundation I also like, but it makes my face look plastic-y. It was too heavy for me.
I only use on the the concealers and the powders right now. The other ones are for when I get tanner during the summer.

The bag has one section that can removed, so I put my makeup brushes under it.

I recently got the Naked 2 palette. I had about $11 worth of points with my Ulta rewards, so I decided to use them to buy the Naked 2 palette.

I hope you enjoyed this peek into my makeup bag!

For those Summer Days that Don't Feel Like Summer

Hello everyone!

So, the past week here in Maine has been less than summer-like, but I refuse to go back to long-sleeved shirts and rain coats, and prefer to thumb my nose at the elements by layering warm weather pieces on top of each other.
Sandals: BCBGeneration ; Top: One Step Up; Shorts: Lee; Cardigan: Target

This outfit is fairly simple, and can be dressed up or down with makeup, shoes and accessories. It would be great for those July days when it's just too hot to wear pants or a maxi skirt to church.

Here's hoping the weather is better where you are, and for sunnier days to come,

Bridget

Purple and Gold Leopard Print Nails

Hello, lovely people! =)
Here's a simple leopard print mani that I did recently.

I started, of course, with Sally Hansen Nail Hardener, then applied two coats of OPI Love.Angel.Music.Baby. to my thumb and ring finger. On my other fingers I applied two coats of Barielle High Marks Purple (although really I only needed one, this polish is ridiculously pigmented!) I used dotting tools, L.A.M.B., and black acrylic paint for the leopard print and topped with Glisten and Glow HK Girl top coat.

In unrelated news, my boyfriend was gone on a family trip for a week and a half, which was sad, but when he got back, he surprised me with two totally awesome Doctor Who t-shirts he got for me on his trip!! =D So yeah, definitely the coolest boyfriend ever. Buut anyway, thanks for checking out the blog! Happy Thursday!

British Invasion

Another day, another outfit!
This one I'm super excited to do. I recently got these wedge Converse sneakers. I always considered these red sneakers to be very British. Probably because the 10th Doctor wears them. ;-) And I'm keeping it no secret that I'm slowly building my 10th Doctor cosplay for when I go to Comic Con someday!
Anyway, enjoy my British Invasion outfit!
