Craving Lemonade

Hi all!

The outfit I designed on Polyvore for this week's post has me itching for a tall glass of lemonade, and I think you'll see why.

I'm super in love with the current trend of skater style skirts and dresses. I think the comfy, swirly, casual look is just so fun and has a bit of a retro vibe that sings to my vintage soul. And to me, summer is all about bright, fun colors. It's the best season to wear them, so why not do so at every chance you get? I absolutely adore the bright, bubblegum pink of this skirt.

Another great thing about this outfit is that it can be so simple, but it looks put-together and fresh. Just a cute top and a skirt, and you're ready to go! Of course, you can rock some glittery jewelry and a fierce cat-eye to play it up. The choices are endless!

Hope you all are ready to have an amazing summer!

Love,

Bridget

Minty

Happy (late) St. Patrick's day, everyone!

I am super excited about this outfit, because the weather here in Maine is finally warming up a bit and I was able to take pictures outside! It is still rather chilly and wet, but I won't let that get me down.

The dress and shoes I'm wearing were a gift from my wonderful parents and I'm obsessed with them. The dress is so simple and versatile that it can be thrown on in the blink of an eye and dressed up or down as needed. The shoes are so edgy and fun, also quite comfortable and great for running around in the summer.

To define the waist on this dress more, you could add a belt, or do without like me for a more relaxed look.

This is actually a plain scarf that I turned into an infinity cowl with a cute, simple, temporary diy. Here's how: simply take a corner from each end of the scarf and knot them together, then repeat with the other two corners. Position the knots behind your neck, wrap once or twice, and enjoy!

I had some fun with the twirly skirt of this dress. Can you tell?

Thanks for reading! Hope everyone had a fantastic St. Patrick's day and avoided getting pinched.

Lots of Maxi Skirts!

Hello everybody!

I'm a few days late and extremely exhausted due to the fact that the maxi skirts I ordered only arrived yesterday and I am in the middle of crunch week for the acting program I'm in, but my mom and I managed to find some time last night to have a photo shoot and, well, one thing lead to another and I ended up having three outfits instead of just one!

This first outfit reminds me of Downton Abbey! It would be great for a dinner, winter party, or other formal gathering, but is very comfortable.  I paired a button down blouse with a fluid chiffon skirt for a very elegant, romantic look. And the shoes. I love these shoes so much! Their vintage flair is cute and stylish, but the low heel makes them easy to walk in.

This next look makes me feel like a Greek goddess! I paired a comfortable but classy chiffon peter pan-collared blouse with the same skirt and shoes. And, for a more put-together style, it's easy to tuck in the top and define the waistline better.

This outfit is so fun and comfortable! Great to throw on quickly for some summer shopping downtown or you could throw a denim jacket over it for the chillier months. I matched this classic boat-neck top with a fun pop of color in the skirt and an edgy statement bracelet.
