My Ultimate Summer Outfit

Hello everyone!

While, thanks to my master procrastination skills, I was not able to put together an outfit to model for you all this week, I decided to scour Polyvore and have put together a few of my favorite trends for this summer into one outfit that I would consider absolutely perfect for this season.
Two trends I've been especially excited about are lace-edged shorts and and lots of dangly, bangly bracelets, earrings and necklaces. The lace appeals to my love of all things vintage and girly, and the jewelry is slightly boho. I was also inspired by Hannah's addition of a fedora in her last post. I love fedoras, they're so edgy and fun!

Hope you all have a fantastic weekend,

Love you,

Bridget

Wade Wednesday: Classy Neutrals

Hey everybody!! Hope y'all have all had a great Wednesday!
For this outfit I wore my brown and cream striped fedora, my Paris graphic tee, denim shorts, and brown boots.
(Sorry this post is so short, btw, I switched shifts at work yesterday, and didn't end up having time to queue up this post like I thought I would :P )
Hope y'all enjoy!! We had lots of fun with the suitcases :)

Nautical Stripes

Hello lovelies!
I recently bought this dress and I love it! I don't have any nautical jewelry, so I just put on some of my delicate gold jewelry. I love that you can give this dress a casual or sporty look, depending on what you wear with it. Plan on seeing this dress again, maybe with some sneakers next time!

A Night in an Enchanted Garden

Hello all!

This week I don't have an outfit for you, but instead a peek into what my life looked like all last week in preparation for the third annual Forget-Me-Not Homeschool Ball. This year I was asked to be on the planning team for the event and I did not hesitate to accept. Working on putting together one of my favorite nights of the year with some of my closest friends? Sign me up!

My task was to paint a couple set flats with my friend Evan to set the mood of our theme: Enchanted Garden. I was very excited about it, and then proceeded to forget about it until five days before the ball. In a roundabout way, Evan and I managed to get together and spend about five to six hours a day at my house, covered in paint. But long story short, we eventually got them finished and I am quite happy with the results.

Needless to say, the rest of the decorations were pretty spectacular as well. After spending most of the day before the big night setting up decorations and singing to Les Mis. (thanks to Evan), we were all exhausted, excited and ready for the dance.

I got ready with my friends and we made quite a time of it, looking for ideas on Pinterest, calling in our other friend who is amazing at hair styling to do our hair, and of course showing off our dresses. Soon enough, we were ready and on our way to the ball!

The night was amazing. The decorations were perfect, the music was great, and I think everyone had a good time. I danced all night and was sad when it was over.

Thanks for reading,

Love you all!

Blue and Gold Water Marble

Hello readers =)
So, I'm pretty obsessed with OPI Love.Angel.Music.Baby. I've used it in the last three manicures I've done! I should probably get another $4.50 bottle (my Ulta has a ton on clearance) before they run out! Anyway, here's a marble I did yesterday with blue and clear over L.A.M.B.

I started with Sally Hansen Nail Hardener, and on my ring finger and thumb applied two coats of OPI Keeping Suzi at Bay, then dotted on Love.Angel.Music.Baby. On the rest of my fingers I applied two coats of L.A.M.B. and marbled with Keeping Suzi at Bay and Sally Hansen NailShine Miracle top coat. I topped everything with Glisten and Glow HK Girl top coat.

That's all, folks!! Thanks for stopping by, and have an absolutely fantastic day!

Geek Chic

I got new glasses!
The big trend in glasses right now is Geek Chic, which totally describes me! I was so happy when I could get new frames and lenses. And they're Ray Bans!
Enjoy my Geek Chic outfit!

Kinda-Casual Friday

Well, this post may be a little brief, due to the fact that I managed to catch a cold from one of my siblings, and am currently laying in bed trying to recuperate.
My brain doesn't feel like making words right now :P

Anyway, when I planned ahead, (luckily) and did pictures for this post I figured I'd pair up some jeans with black heels and go from there.

Then I grabbed one of my favorite tops, and layered it under a mint button-up for a casual-but-still-nice look.

Top it off with some silver jewelry, and BAM, you're ready to take on the world! As long as you can walk in heels, that is.....
Thanks for reading, hope y'all have a great weekend!! :)
